The Transpress commercial was my first commercial as a director/DOP in Bulgaria. The challenges that we faced here were completely new to me, but I would say that the biggest one was to actually build a carton box 4x4x4 m and figuring out how exactly to have three walls falling simultaneously.

We had about three weeks of preproduction which included figuring out the story, locking the production design, figuring out cinematography, finding the actors, all around Christmas time plus let’s not forget building this curtain box.

The other biggest challenge I found in this production was that, for the first time I worked with almost a completely new and different crew.

And contrary to all the challenges and problems we faced, I dare say that from not having a clear idea on how to organise, build and shoot this whole commercial in 2 to 3 weeks, we rose up to the occasion and smashed it.
